Episode 1: Sisters Speak Out Premiere
Sisters Speak Out is a workshop experience, documentary, and three-act play founded and authored by Missy Crutchfield due to her unwavering passion for the need for addressing issues surrounding domestic violence, and means of prevention.

In February 2008, the two-act “Sisters Speak Out Against Violence” and “Sisters Speak Out in Empowerment” opened for “Vagina Monologues” at Encore Theatre in Chattanooga. In this video clip, Missy Crutchfield talks about the play and its inspiration and some of the performers and audience share their responses to the experience.

Episode 2: Sisters Speak Out: Belly Dance and Women’s Empowerment
Sisters Speak Out is a workshop experience, documentary, and three-act play founded and authored by Missy Crutchfield due to her unwavering passion for the need for addressing issues surrounding domestic violence, and means of prevention.

In August 2008, the full three-act play “Sisters Speak Out” debuted at Encore Theatre in Chattanooga. Sisters Speak Out is meant to be an ever-changing, ever-evolving work of theatre art. It’s alive, with new faces every year. It’s global and it’s local—spotlighting local talent with music and dance and including performance art and multimedia that adds local flavor and impact. The August 2008 performance featured belly dance from Zanzibar Studios. In this video clip, dancer Juli Downum with Zanzibar Studios talks about the art of Belly Dance and empowering women.
