Hundreds of thousands of People’s Climate marchers will take to the streets in the nation’s capitol as well as in sister marches taking place in cities across the United States on April 29, 2017.
The People’s Climate March DC takes place on President Trump’s 100th Day in office, amidst backlash from a series of executive orders intending to shut down the Environmental Protection Agency, move forward with the Keystone XL pipeline, and a general trend backwards regarding Climate Change.
The PCM is a broad-based ground-breaking coalition of hundreds of faith-based, labor unions, indigenous, civil rights and environmental justice groups based around the country working together to build bold solutions that tackle climate change, rooted in economic and racial justice.
Since inauguration, we’ve seen what people power can achieve: Trumpcare? Withdrawn. Muslim ban? Blocked. Now Trump’s entire fossil fuel agenda is next.
