The recent missile alert that went out to millions of people in the state of Hawaii traumatized citizens and visitors alike. 38 minutes of hell before the state issued a “false alarm” giving the all clear. “I wish I could say there was a simple reason for why it took so long to get the correction to the false alert out,” Ige said. It is difficult to imagine the anguish and trauma that folks experienced in those 38+ minutes. Knowing that you’re minutes away from doomsday and nowhere to escape–what would you do?
