Epoch Times: Criminal Justice Reform Proliferating Across the Country

WASHINGTON—In recent years, there has been an upsurge of discussions and legislation favoring criminal justice reform. Many experts and policymakers question whether long sentences for nonviolent drug abuse offenders is worth the annual cost to house, feed, and guard an inmate, which is about $30,000. But the benefits of reducing prison populations and other criminal justice reforms are not limited to fiscal considerations, extending to better, more humane ways for offenders to reenter their communities.

The ONLY reason that this is is picking up momentum is because of THE PEOPLE. The only reason legislators and others are looking into these issues is because WE THE PEOPLE have had enough– and we’re finally ‪Speaking Out‬ about the wrongs in society.

We must work to get ‪Prison Reform‬

We must end ‪‎Prison Privatization‬.

Mass Incarceraton‬ is not the answer.

The elite will need to assign sentences and convictions in order to run the system and have a lowest form of ‪working class‬–or worse…

Think about it. When you get a felony, you lose your right to vote. If you can’t vote, then legislators won’t care what you think or want. Your life changes and you are now in “the system.” Your life is controlled by “the system.” Unless we demand change, “the system” will continue to get more and more corrupt and will cater even more to corporations–big money, power, and greed. ‪Think About It‬. This is happening all over the world– and across this country.

Pastor Martin Neimoller said:
“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then, they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then, they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me. And, there was no one to speak for me.”

We must ‪Speak Out‬ for ‪‎Justice‬ now before it’s too late.

Please stay vigilant on this, and on anything that is not for the good of the people–all people, not just some. We are winning.

As Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Keep up the great work! ‪#‎SpeakTruthToPower‬
